Weekly meal plan – 5th May 2018
Monday – BBQ, It’s due to be 25 degrees and it’s bank holiday Monday so we will be getting the barbecue out! Homemade vegetable kebab sticks and some yummy sausages and burgers, new baby potatoes and some lettuce from the garden.
Tuesday – Salad, likely with leftover barbecue food. I’ve been growing some lettuce in the garden so hopefully that will see us through salad season this year.
Wednesday – Sausage, mash and broccoli with gravy. The weekly fave in this house. This is something we all enjoy eating!
Thursday – Curry night, homemade curries (chicken and veggie) with basmati rice and maybe some homemade naan depending on time.
Friday – Freezer food, eating up any leftovers or freezer stuff that needs eating.
Saturday – Roast pork, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, swede and carrot mash, lots of veggies, stuffing and gravy.
Sunday – Leftover roast dinner. I’m really busy this day and so is my other half so I’ll make enough on the Saturday so we can eat leftovers on Sunday. This makes such an easy delicious meal, and I think I actually prefer a roast dinner on the next day.
I know I should rush to the barbecue when it’s hot but I just don’t enjoy any of it. Not the actual barbecuing, which no doubt I would have to do, nor the slightly charred food! I love salads outside though, so will go for that.
