Here is our weekly meal plan – 23rd June 2018. Each week I link up with The Organised Life Project and Katykicker for this weekly meal plan linky. This week is all about shopping from the kitchen as we have run out of food budget for the rest of the month.
Weekly meal plan – 23rd June 2018
Monday – Leftover chicken curry. We are out of grocery budget now until July so this week is all about eating leftovers and what we already have in. I have some chicken curry made up already in the freezer, some rice in the cupboard and some yellow sticker naans in the freezer. This should be plenty to make a meal for 4 of us.
Tuesday – Chicken fajitas, using leftover roast chicken from Sunday nights tea. We already have rice, wraps, an avocado and leftover fajita veg mix which I froze from last week.
Wednesday – Pasta, I have pasta, 2 tins of chopped tomatoes, onions and some fresh basil so a nice tomato pasta sauce should be no problem here. We might add in a tin of tuna and a vegetable like peas?
Thursday – Cheese and bacon chicken. This was picked up as a yellow sticker a few weeks ago and sounds really yummy! I’ll do this along with steamed new potatoes, carrots and peas (all of which we already have in).
Friday – Freezer food/leftovers basically anything we have in that needs eating up. This will be a total mash up of fish fingers, yellow sticker chicken kievs, veggie sausages and anything else we can find to feed all four of us.
Saturday – Thai green curry. I made a thai green curry paste a few months ago now and it’s still in our freezer! Luckily I have some frozen chicken breasts, a tin of coconut milk and some frozen green beans. We have plenty of rice in the pantry as I bulk buy it hence why we will have lots of rice dishes.
Sunday – Slow cooker beef stew and dumplings. I wouldn’t usually choose this kind of meal for a hot day but hey, food is food! We have yellow sticker stewing steak in the freezer along with carrots sweet potato and some dried mushrooms. I will hopefully have time to make my own vegan stew and dumplings as my veggie substitute.
Some really nice ideas. Obviously the contents of your freezer are more interesting than mine!

Great meal plan…Fab ideas.
I need to have more weeks like this where we eat what we have in, instead of buying fresh x
I really need to go through my cupboards and my freezer to eat what we already have. #mealplanningmondays
We have to do this quite frequently too! You’re obviously good at stashing a bargain away in the freezer. Thanks for linking up xx
I got some great yellow stickers this week too – thanks for the reminder!
Sounds like a great meal plan again this week – thanks for linking up.
