Our weekly meal plan
Monday – Pork chops/ veggie sausages and mash with veg with gravy.
Tuesday – Salad, when I say salad my idea of salad is a huge bowl filled with a variety of cucumber, tomatoes, dark green leaves, beetroot, pickled onions and lots more. We don’t do boring salads in this house and there isn’t an iceberg lettuce in sight.
Wednesday – Curry night, most of my family enjoy a curry of some sort so this pops up most weeks now. Served with rice or homemade naan bread.
Thursday – Pasta, unsure what we will have with the pasta at the moment but we have plenty of ingredients for ideas. We tend to go for tomato sauce or pesto although the week just gone we had cold pasta with tuna mayo and sweetcorn. It’s nice to be able to switch it around for the hotter days.
Friday – Freezer food/ leftovers. Eating up our leftovers or random stuff out of the freezer every Friday prevents us throwing food away. It’s also nice to just not worry about cooking a full on meal sometimes too.
Saturday – Pizza (again) my kids love pizza and I have almost nailed how to make it perfect! I will get the pizza recipe up on the blog as soon as it is 100% perfected! I’ve been using my bread maker to make the dough which saves so much time and faffing about.
Sunday – Roast pork loin with roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, stuffing, gravy and lots of veggies. This should be a big enough piece to eat leftovers the following day. I love to cook a big piece of meat and then have leftovers for another meal or sandwiches.
