It’s half term this week (yay!) so our weekly meal plan is going to incorporate the kids helping in the kitchen as much as possible. I often get the kids involved in making our meals as I find they are more likely to eat them. Not only that but it’s also teaching them a valuable skill for when they grow up.
Our weekly meal plan – 10th February 2018
Monday – Stir fry, using leftover pork (for the rest of the family), any veg we have in the fridge/freezer and noodles from the pantry. I’ll have this meat free.
Tuesday – Pancakes, it’s pancake day so we will be having pancakes. We might just have lots of sweet pancakes or I might make a savoury topping with things I can find already in the kitchen.
Wednesday – Curry, using up the leftover roast pork. I have a portion of my veggie curry in the freezer which I’ll defrost and heat up.
Thursday – Pasta with tomato and veggie sauce. A nice simple meal.
Friday – Freezer food, eating up what we already have in the fridge and freezer. This gives us an opportunity to eat up any leftovers from the week and make some extra freezer space.
Saturday – Calzone, Katy has inspired this one! I’ve never made it before so I will be using her recipe.
Sunday – Sausage and mash, this is a meal we all love. I have Linda McCartney sausages while the rest of the family have regular sausages.
I’m linking up with The Organised Life Project and Katykicker for this weekly meal plan linky.
I’m sure the kids will love Katy’s calzone! My boys love to make cakes but aren’t interested in other cooking – I’ll have to get them more involved too. Thanks for linking up xx
How did the calzone go? Hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for linking up!
