I recently came across a brilliant app that enables me to get Sweatcoins by walking each day! I’m usually either on the school run, going to the supermarket or just going for a casual stroll. There isn’t a day where I don’t walk somewhere and Sweatcoin is an app that enables me to earn coins for walking.
What is Sweatcoin?
Sweatcoin is an App for your phone which counts your daily outdoor steps. You earn coins through walking or running outside, and 1,000 steps will earn you 0.95 SWC. These Sweatcoins can then be redeemed for gifts such as Amazon vouchers, Nike vouchers, Digital watches and lots more!
How does it work?
The app runs in the background and automatically tracks your physical activity, so after downloading the app you just let it do its thing. The offers and gifts circulate often so there’s always something new to spend your SWC on. It’s worth checking each day for new offers. Sweatcoins can be saved up or used on smaller purchases and offers.
The Sweatcoin App is free to download and use, you just need to sign up with an email address and username. I was initially concerned the App would eat up my battery but due to the battery saver mode it doesn’t.
How many Sweatcoins can I earn each day?
When you download the App you will be limited to only earning 5 SWC per day, this is roughly 5000 outdoor steps. Although if you wish to earn more SWC you can upgrade your membership. There are several membership upgrades which enable you to earn more each day. Each of these levels costs a set amount of sweat coins each month to upgrade.
Personally I find the basic starter membership perfect for my lifestyle right now, Its not very often I walk more than 5000 steps outdoors each day.
What are my overall thoughts on Sweatcoin?
So far I’m very pleased with the App, it ticks away quietly in the background on my phone. I walk a lot indoors mostly so did wonder if it would be worth it, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how quickly I have earned coins. It also encourages me to walk that little bit further which is a good thing.
