Cheltenham takes place this week which means a lot of excitement for all of us who take part in matched betting.
Cheltenham : How to make money matched betting
Over the 4 day long festival last year I made £302.46 from just 1-2 hours work. The reason it’s such a good time for matched betting is because the bookmakers have more free bet offers to encourage people in. And it is the free bet offers that we can make money from.
What is matched betting?
If you have never heard of Matched betting then this post explains the basics – Matched Betting: How to make tax free cash. It includes everything you need to know to get started with matched betting today.
Matched betting is essentially utilising the free bets that the bookmakers offer to entice people to use them. It is completely legal and is also tax free. Although the name suggests it, this is not gambling!
If you do feel totally confused by matched betting it doesn’t mean you can’t make money from it. Without Profit Accumulator I wouldn’t have a clue what I was doing either but I’ve managed to make £10,000’s over the last few years.

Profit Accumulator
Profit accumulator is a must! As I said before I wouldn’t be able to do matched betting without them. Especially at Cheltenham when you need to find offers and place bets quickly. Their odds matching software is great and they explain each offer in a way that you can understand clearly.

Make lots of notes
Make lots of notes as you go, if you have a dedicated notepad then even better! Keeping track of all the offers is tough so the more notes you have the better to remind yourself of the details. Try to get a system going while you complete the offers.
Check and then check again
Although you need to be relatively quick with each offer you should also be checking as you go. Take your time if you feel you need to and don’t push yourself to do every single offer if you don’t think your experienced enough. I try to give each offer around 5-10 minutes each to make sure I do them correctly.
Set a goal
A goal is always great motivation while matched betting. Set a meaningful goal that you know will spur you on. Any money I make this year will separated and put straight into my various savings accounts.
Start with a good chunk of money
This year I have a substantial amount set aside for Cheltenham, the bigger your bank the more you will earn. Last year I struggled to do a few offers as a lot of my money was tied up in other offers or bookmakers. So this year I’ve made sure to have that money right here ready to go!
