If you don’t currently have life insurance because you seem to just keep putting it off to save money this is a huge mistake. I was once someone who thought it was a waste of time and money. But after thinking on it I realised that if anything happened to me what would happen to my children and partner? Yes, sure my partner works as well and he could probably just about get by without my income. But do I really want my family to struggle when I’m gone?
I decided it was time to get myself some life insurance when I realised that my savings would just about cover my funeral expenses but not a lot else. If anything ever happened to me (I know this is so hard to think about and I really hope it doesn’t!) then I want my family to not have to worry about money as well as everything else.
Taking out a life insurance policy really wasn’t as terrifying or expensive as I thought it would be. And in all honesty I don’t think I can put a price on ensuring my family is well taken care of if they ever lose me.
Finding a life settlement broker that offered a good plan that was within my budget wasn’t as tricky as I thought. I had visions of it costing me hundreds each month but it really doesn’t cost that much. I even managed to get cash back on my policy when I took it out as well which made a difference.
