How to save money by creating your own stationary
If you’ve ever needed personalised stationary in the past then you will understand that it doesn’t always come cheap. But there are ways to save money on the cost of personalised stationary.
You can choose to create it completely by yourself or just outsource certain parts of the making process. By creating the stationary all by yourself you could save money by buying materials in bulk. Whereas by outsourcing certain parts of the process could be more beneficial if you don’t have a huge amount of stationary to create.
Do it yourself stationary
One of the best ways to save money is to do it all by yourself. By creating the entire thing by yourself you save money on labour costs. If you’re really smart you could also shop around for the cheapest material cost too.
All you need to create your own stationary at home is a regular printer, some good quality paper stock and enough ink to print out what you require. This could feel quite expensive as you will usually be buying in bulk but if you require a lots of copies this tends to be the cheapest way to do things.
Start by creating your own design, choose a font you love and get creating. If you struggle to find a font that you like you could try a fonts download. Once you’ve chosen your font design, pick out some colours and get to creating your masterpiece. This is a great way to really personalise your design and there is no better way to put your stamp on things than creating your stationary from start to finish.
Outsource some of the work
If you’re not the most confident of people or you simply don’t have the equipment at home needed to create your own stationary then you could try outsourcing some of the work.
If you only require several copies of something then this could also be your cheapest option. Let’s be honest if you don’t need many copies of your stationary then this could also be the cheapest option for you. There’s no point spending money on paper and ink when you only need 5 copies of something.
You could create your design yourself by finding some fonts free online. Design your stationary to your liking and then pay for a printer service to print out your designs for you.
Buy ready made stationary
There is of course always the option of buying ready made stationary if neither of these options suit you or your budget. Although by buying ready made stationary you lose the personalisation of the stationary which depending on the event or purpose could be a problem.
