I love finding new ways to make extra cash from home, so when I found out about Shoppix I was very intrigued. Could I really make extra cash by taking pictures of my receipts?
What is Shoppix?
Shoppix is an App available on both Android and iPhone where you can snap receipts, complete short surveys, win prizes & collect tokens. These tokens can then be redeemed for gift cards or you can cash out with PayPal. I’ve had the app installed on my phone for around 2 months now and I already have a £5 gift card waiting to be redeemed.
Just as it sounds, you simply take a picture of your receipt and you’ll be awarded with 25 tokens. There is an extra ‘time bonus’ of 5 tokens if you snap your receipt on the day of purchase.
Get an extra 200 tokens
Use code D9XLIMDA and you will get an extra 200 tokens once you have snapped your first valid receipt & completed the profile survey. This is a referral code so I will also pick up some extra tokens and no cost to yourself.
You can register through this link: Shoppix
There are often short surveys available to complete, although these may depend on your demographic. They tend to award you with 10 tokens for each minute it will take. So for instance if you completed a 4 minute survey they would award you 40 tokens.
As well as tokens you get awarded with scratch cards for completing certain tasks. These scratchcards sometimes contain more tokens.
Weekly Prize draw
Each week there is a prize draw on Sunday at 3pm. You enter the prize draw by picking up scratch cards through the week. All of your awarded scratchcards get entered into the prize draw each week.
Once you have enough tokens you can redeem them for vouchers or cash through Paypal! The gift cards available at the moment are for Amazon, iTunes and Love2Shop. The cash out levels are as follows.
- 3200 Tokens = £5
- 6000 Tokens = £10
- 11500 Tokens = £20
As you can see it may make sense to save up your tokens to hit a higher pay out option if you can.
I’ve decided that I will save up my tokens and redeem them once I hit a higher cash out goal. It will go towards Christmas alongside my other gift vouchers.
